Every year on September 27th, the global community unites to celebrate World Tourism Day. Established by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), this annual event powerfully reminds us of tourism’s cultural, social, and economic impact worldwide.
At PNTC Colleges, this celebration comes alive with vibrancy and purpose. Spearheaded by the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) and brought to life by students from the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) program, World Tourism Day stands as a cornerstone of the academic year.
This year, CITHM presents the Mabuhay Festival 2026—an immersive experience showcasing the richness of Philippine culture, heritage, and sustainable tourism while connecting students to global career pathways.
Festival Highlights & Key Attractions
The Mabuhay Festival 2026 transforms the campus into a dynamic showcase of Filipino identity, hospitality, and student innovation through three main highlight features:
- Cultural Presentations: A vivid stage display celebrating Philippine traditions, music, and ancestral dances. Students perform regional folk art pieces, bringing the nation's diverse heritage to life through movement and sound.
- Interactive Booth Displays & Local Market: Dedicated student booths highlight the country's rich culinary traditions, native delicacies, cultural games, and artisan products, offering attendees a taste and feel of regional Philippine culture.
- Philippine Culture & Tourism Gallery: The Front Office Laboratory undergoes a complete transformation into a curated museum space. Visitors walk through detailed exhibits highlighting Philippine geography, historical landmarks, eco-tourism spots, and local heritage resources.
Shaping the Future of Global Travel
The Mabuhay Festival is more than an annual gathering—it is a Launchpad for future tourism leaders. By combining cultural preservation with hands-on event planning, PNTC Colleges equips BSTM students with practical skills, industry knowledge, and a deep appreciation for sustainable development.
Through immersive initiatives like the Mabuhay Festival 2026, PNTC Colleges continues to prepare the next generation of hospitality and travel professionals ready to represent Filipino warmth and excellence on the world stage.
